Sunday May 18 2008 *EquiFest 2008 Trade Show & Open Horse Show We are pleased to announce EquiFest 2008 & Trade Show is scheduled for Sunday May 18th at the Ulster County Fair Grounds, ring side in New Paltz, New York under the big tent. The event will be 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday. Also on Sunday May 18th, we will host the 42nd Annual Ulster County Open Horse Show, to benefit the UC 4-H Equine Program. The show will start at 8:30 am in the arena on the same grounds. The event will give each vendor the opportunity to promote his or her product or service. This is a great not-to-be-missed opportunity for you or your representative to let the public know about your company and merchandise. Timed event, tests the communication between horse and rider in completing  challenges including but not limited to: an Elevated Wooden Bridge, 40' Long Water Crossing, 12' High "Look Out" Mountain Moguls, 16' Teeter Totter, Stepped Terrain, Roping, & MUCH MORE.  Challenges change each race.  Competition site is located in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of NYS with easy access to Interstate 86. June 15 2008,*Stockyard Sorting Event at Crowley's*Crowley's will start a new series of 4 for Stockyard Sorting.  Massachusetts  Sunday June 15th will be the beginning of our New Series.   If you are interested in learning how to play come to our Clinic on  May 31, where we will go over how the game is played and you will get to practice.   Call to save a spot at 413-786-1744 for the Clinic or go online to our website www.crowleyshorses.com.  OPEN AND PRO-AM DIVISIONS Start time is 10:00 AM Books close for OPEN @9:30 - NO EXCEPTIONS OPEN DIVISION- $20  -   PER RIDER, $60 PER TEAM 3 Riders. Riders must push cattle through center of fenced area in ring and must get 1 cow in to quality for call back.  Highest amount of cattle sorted in both runs wins (1st run & Call back runs - You must have sorted 1 or more cows to qualify in order to win) WINS.    3 Riders will compete to win by one rider going into the herd and cutting out the number called by the judge and driving it through the center shoot.  The other riders guard the holes on both sides of the shoot, so cows can't get past them.   They also help hold back trash cows for the rider cutting the cows out of the herd and running them through the center shoot. There's a  90 second clock and you must send one qualified cow through to qualify for call back.  The team that gets the most cows in combined run wins.   Last  rider through the shoot must raise their hand when team wants to call time.   6 RIDE LIMIT PER DIVISION.
